Encounter Location and the Coda Reel

The Conductor resides in Founders' Hall on the eastern side of Overture Plaza. Reaching this encounter prepared means securing the Coda Reel before engaging her.

The Coda Reel is located inside the Acoustics Annex in western Plaza, situated east of Vesper Lane. Entering the inner area requires a Staff Card with at least one remaining use on the locked inner door. Inside the bookcase room, search the Safe to locate the Coda Reel. The nearby Cabinet is a separate container and does not yield the reel.

Carrying the item into Founders' Hall requires deliberate stash management. The Coda Reel cannot be used from protected pockets; keeping the Coda Reel outside your secure container is mandatory to enable the calming prompt during the boss encounter.

Surviving Boss Phases and Calming Mechanics

The fight transitions across distinct musical mechanics that dictate movement and item interaction. During Development, watch the floor for yellow attack markers. Survivors must step out of these marked attack zones before the second beat registers.

When the boss enters The Note Is Held, she cannot be hurt by standard weapons from your weapons guide loadout. Instead of firing, approach the interaction point with the Coda Reel placed in your standard backpack or rig grid. Hold F at Play the Coda until the progress bar completes.

Completing the interaction does not immediately conclude the sequence. Survivors must remain within reach of the player and avoid being hit until Final Chord activates. Taking damage or moving out of range interrupts the playback, leaving the squad exposed to incoming aggression. Reviewing tactics alongside The Conductor solo guide helps manage spacing when handling this sequence without squad support.

Plaza Exits After the Final Chord

Once the encounter concludes, leaving Founders' Hall requires navigating to one of the district extractions before the raid timer expires. Following the hall exterior leads directly toward Stage Door, marked by overhead signs.

Stage Door requires a Vault card to operate. If carrying heavy loot or lacking the required card, the Garage Ramp remains marked as always open on the district perimeter. Lake Tunnel provides an alternate escape, but strictly enforces a backpack capacity limit of nine cells or fewer, regardless of how many individual items are packed inside. Matching your exit plan to carried keys and container sizes prevents lost gear after calming the boss.
